Bollywood star Aamir Khan is getting ready for Sitaare Zameen Par, his next movie. In reference to his tiny stature, Aamir’s on-screen mother refers to him as a “tingu” in the movie’s trailer. Aamir recently admitted to being anxious and scared about his height at the start of his career in an interview with Just Too Filmy.

Aamir responded, “Actually, Javed saab once said something about humour that I really agree with,” when asked if he’s grown more at ease enjoying a joke at his own expense, particularly now that he’s letting people call him “tingu” in the movie. He asserted that having a good sense of humor is useful in times of adversity and is not restricted to amusement.

Therefore, it’s like a shock absorber if you have a decent sense of humor at the moment. It’s a crucial aspect of the movie, and I believe I’ve always had that talent.”

“I was very afraid at the beginning of my career,” Aamir added, recalling that he had been concerned about his height early on. Number one was Amit ji, who stood more than six feet tall. Shatrughan Sinha and Vinod ji were both very tall. I was so anxious, wondering if a short actor like me would even have a chance, or if one’s height would be a factor in one’s success. That worried me a great deal. However, it turned out to be alright.
