As ‘Abhishek Tripathi’, also called ‘Sachiv Ji’ in Panchayat 4, Jitendra Kumar has been capturing people’s hearts. The Phulera panchayat elections were the season’s focal point. A romantic growth between ‘Sachiv’ and Rinki is also highlighted in this season. Sanvikaa already disclosed that a kissing scene was removed from this season’s “Rinki” in real life. The actress’s remarks were exaggerated beyond recognition. Jitendra now responded to the same and discussed the series’ omitted kissing scene.

Jitendra Kumar claimed that Sanvikaa’s remark was exaggerated, according to a Free Press Journal report. Jitendra went on to say that when the sequence was suggested to him, he requested that the filmmakers first speak with Sanvikaa and get her OK. Jitendra stated that in order to make the moment awkwardly humorous, Sanvikaa’s approval was required. Although it was shot differently, the original idea was for the light to go out during the kissing sequence.

Jitendra could be quoted as saying: “I think Sanvikaa’s comment was taken out of context. When the scene was proposed, I told the makers to ask her first. Her consent was essential. We wanted to make the scene awkwardly funny — like they’re about to kiss, and the light goes off. But eventually, it was shot differently.”

As the interview progressed, Jitendra Kumar disclosed that he has no problem kissing someone on-screen. He also revealed that he has already performed a sequence with Ayushmann Khurrana and the actresses. According to the actor, he has no qualms with kissing someone as an actor—as long as it advances the plot, anyway. Jitendra said that the scenario ought to resonate with the audience.

He said, “I kissed Ayushmann Khurrana in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. I’ve kissed actresses on screen before. As an actor, I don’t have reservations about it. But whether it’s a kiss or any other scene, it has to serve the story. Kahani mein mazaa aana chahiye, audience se connect karna chahiye.

Sanvikaa previously stated in an interview following the premiere of Panchayat 4 that she was dubious about the kissing scene when it was suggested to her. She revealed that nobody had discussed the sequence with her after the narration was finished. The actress revealed that she took two days to consider the scenario once the director later told her about it. The actress was concerned about Jitendra’s reaction and was a little dubious about the kissing sequence.
