For all the wrong reasons, the Prabhas film Spirit is making headlines. Following rumors of a falling out with Deepika Padukone, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has now posted a lengthy message on X in which he criticizes an unidentified individual for engaging in “dirty PR Games” and questions their “professionalism.” Although Vanga hasn’t made it clear who he is referring to, many people have interpreted his statement in light of the latest developments surrounding Spirit. Triptii Dimri, who collaborated with Vanga on the film Animal, apparently took Deepika’s position when she reportedly withdrew from the project.

When Spirit was initially revealed in 2023, there were rumors that Deepika Padukone, who was then filming Kalki 2898 AD with Prabhas, might also act opposite him. But according to allegations that surfaced in the last few days, Deepika opted out of Spirit because of a number of problems. According to reports, Deepika requested a substantial salary and set strict guidelines for her working hours. In the wake of her motherwood, she had also mentioned that a filmmaker had questioned her priorities.

The fact that Triptii Dimri, who last collaborated with Vanga on Animal, will be performing the lead in Spirit was formally revealed shortly after. In a social media post confirming her casting, Triptii wrote, “I’m still getting used to it. really appreciative of being trusted with this trip.

Pinkvilla posted a story on Monday that said Prabhas’ police drama would take a “A-Rated Action” turn. Vanga and his group had up until now insisted that it was a police action thriller. The rating they were looking for was not mentioned in any official capacity.

This appears to have annoyed Vanga, who took to X to vent his annoyance and aggravation over the purported plot leak of his movie.

He posted on X, saying, “I have complete faith in an actor when I tell them a narrative. We have an unspoken nondisclosure agreement (NDA). However, by doing this, you have “DISCLOSED” who you are.

Vanga went on without mentioning anyone, saying, “Removing my story and putting down a younger actor? Is this what you believe feminism is all about? I have dedicated years of effort to my trade as a filmmaker, and filmmaking is everything to me. You failed to grasp it. It won’t come to you. It will never come to you.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga:

In Hindi, he wrote, “Aisa karo…. Agli baar poori kahani bolna…” to end his note. Kyunki mujhe jarra bhi farak nahi padtha (I don’t really care, so give them the whole tale the next time.) “I really enjoy this kahawath: Khundak mein billi khamba noche,” he wrote at the end of his post. He included the hashtag “Dirty PR Games” with his message.
