Alok Nath is a well-known figure in the film and television industries and is referred to as the Sanskrit Babuji of the entertainment industry. Alok is renowned for his flawless on-screen persona and his appearances in movies such as Vivah, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, and Maine Pyar Kiya. Alok, who was born on July 10, 1956, followed his dreams of being an actor.
He tried out for Sir Richard Attenborough’s Oscar-winning Gandhi during his last year at NSD. Alok, who starred in movies like Kachchi Kali, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Maine Pyar Kiya, Agneepath, Pardes, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Dil Hai Tumhara, and others, hasn’t looked back since.
Alok Nath started his career in television in 1980 with the program Rishte Naate before branching out into movies. He did, however, become well-known with his performance in Buniyaad, Tara, Basera, Sapna Babul Ka…Bidaai, Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, and numerous more. In 1986, Alok Nath and Neena Gupta began collaborating on the series Buniyaad, which was helmed by Jyoti Sarup and Ramesh Sippy. Neena portrayed his daughter-in-law, “Rajjo,” in the show, while Alok portrayed “Master Haveliram.”
According to several sources, the two fell in love when they were working together. The relationship didn’t continue long, though, as Alok’s father disapproved of it, and the two ended their relationship amicably before the show’s conclusion.
TV writer and producer Vinta Nanda accused Alok Nath of rape in 2018, during the Me Too campaign. Many were taken aback by Vinita’s claim because the accusations against Alok did not align with his Sanskari persona. Everyone was shocked by Vinta’s harsh accusations against Alok Nath, including many in the industry and his supporters.
