Filmmakers Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao recently revealed how their Kaanta Laga video, which featured Shefali Zariwala in a thong and contained explicit material, caused quite a commotion at the time.

In an interview with Hindi Rush, the filmmakers revealed how the Central Board of Film Certification reacted negatively to their release of the video, accusing them of causing moral distress in the country. They went on to say that Salman Khan had also urged them to quit making “sexy” videos.

According to Vinay’s interview, “Main tumhe samjha raha hoon Radhika-Vinay, yeh jo sexy kaam hai kam kiya karo, acha nahi hota (I’m trying to make you understand, don’t do such sexy songs, it doesn’t look good)” was what he said when he called us to his house. “You have nice, pure minds,” he added. They identified Salman Khan when asked.

According to the directors, they had reached a creative snag at the time of making solely adorable videos and decided to try something else, which led to their remix era.
