Another comparable case grabbed headlines before the dust had even cleared on the Meghalaya murder case. The entire country is appalled by the terrifying parallels between the two cases. Although marriage is supposed to be one of the most fortunate relationships in a person’s life, the current trend has many people concerned about their loved ones’ safety. Although there are many parallels between this case and the murder case of Raja Raghuvanshi in Meghalaya, there is one horrific element that has left everyone speechless.
On the morning of June 8, 2025, the victim—who was named as Veer or Man Singh Jatav—was discovered dead at his residence. At first, his wife, Anita, stated that a sudden deterioration in his health was the cause of his death. After their son disclosed what had transpired on the evening of June 7, 2025, the truth was gradually revealed over the course of the following 48 hours. When his mother, her lover, and a gang of professional contract assassins killed his father, the nine-year-old child was the main witness.
The child said that his mother, Anita, purposefully left the gate open that evening. Around midnight, he said, four men entered the residence with a man he identified as “Kashi Uncle,” also known as Kashiram Prajapat, Anita’s purported boyfriend. The child revealed that they suffocated Veer after discovering him dozing out on his bed. The youngster, who was sleeping close by and feigning sleep, witnessed everything.
He was cited as saying: “I had just fallen asleep when I heard a faint sound at the door. I opened my eyes and saw my mother opening the gate. Kashi Uncle was standing outside; there were four more people with him. I got scared, I did not get up, I started watching everything quietly. They came to our room. I got up and saw my mother standing in front of the bed.”
The nine-year-old boy said in the same statement that his father had been tortured by Kashiram and the four attackers before being strangled to death. He went on to say that Kashiram grabbed him and threatened him when he attempted to approach his father. A few minutes later, the youngster witnessed his father’s death. He was cited as saying:
He was choked, his legs were twisted, and he was punched by those individuals. Uncle Kashi had a pillow over his lips. Kashi Uncle scooped me up in his lap and reprimanded and threatened me when I reached for my father. I was so afraid that I said nothing. Father passed away after a short while, and then everyone departed.
Meghalaya murder case:
The authorities claim that Kashiram and Anita were responsible for the murder. They disclosed that the heinous act was caused by their extramarital romance. In Kherli, Anita ran a modest general store. The two allegedly became close over time as Kashiram, a local street seller who sells kachoris, would regularly stop by Anita’s shop. Four attackers were paid Rs. 2 lakh by Anita and Kashiram to kill the former’s husband.
