Amitabh Bachchan delivers a handwritten message and a bouquet of flowers to the performer if he is impressed by their performance. However, did you know that he once delivered an actress a whole truck full of roses?

The actress is Sridevi, not Jaya Bachchan. In the past, Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi dominated the screen. She was the woman superstar, and he was the irate young man of Bollywood.

They appeared on the same screen in Khuda Gawah. However, Sridevi initially declined to collaborate with him on the movie because she thought her performance would be overshadowed by his large size. She desired more roles that focused on women and did not require her to play a supporting role.

To persuade her, Amitabh Bachchan performed a spectacular trick. When a truck full of roses showed up on the Sridevi sets, choreographer Saroj Khan talked about the occurrence in Satyarth Nayak’s Sridevi: The Eternal Screen Goddess. The truck was titled ‘Showering Sridevi With Flowers’.

Amitabh Bachchan’s gesture had a long-lasting effect on Sridevi. She was still not persuaded by her part in Khuda Gawah, though. Then, she requested permission from the filmmakers to play Amitabh Bachchan’s wife and daughter in the film. Mukul Anand and filmmaker Manoj Desai complied with her request.

1992 saw the publication of Khuda Gawah. Badshah Khan was portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan. Sridevi played the role of Benazir and Mehndi.

Key roles in the film were also played by other well-known actors, including Kiran Kumar, Danny Denzongpa, Shilpa Shirodkar, and Nagarjuna. According to reports, the movie made the third most money that year.

Sridevi and Amitabh Bachchan appeared together on screen in a number of films, including Aakhree Raasta and Inquilaab. There had even been a guest appearance by Amitabh Bachchan in Sridevi’s English Vinglish.
