This morning, a significant incident occurred in Mumbai. On Monday morning, a huge fire started at Goregaon (East), the famous Film City. According to reports, the fire on the set of the well-known television series “Anupamaa” began at around five in the morning. The shooting set was utterly wrecked, but luckily no one was killed. At this point, the fire has been contained.
According to officials, the fire started around 6:10 a.m. on a set behind the Marathi Bigg Boss set in Goregaon (East)’s Dadasaheb Phalke Chitrnagari (Film City). At least four fire engines and water tankers from the Mumbai Fire Brigade raced to the location after receiving the warning, beginning a significant firefighting effort. A possibly much worse catastrophe was avoided because the fire happened in the morning, while no shooting was taking place.
According to officials from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the situation has been brought under control. There have been no reports of injuries. The fire has been successfully put out by the fire department. Although preliminary investigations indicate that a short circuit might have been the reason, officials said a comprehensive study is necessary before confirmation can be made. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire. Three station officers, a deputy divisional fire officer, and teams from the local police and municipal corporation are on the scene.
