Ekta Kapoor, the producer of Lock Upp, recently confirmed the arrival of its second season, hinting at a launch toward the end of the year, possibly in October or November 2024. This timing aligns with Bigg Boss’s traditional scheduling, which typically runs from October to January or February.

While Bigg Boss airs on television, Lock Upp’s debut season premiered on an OTT platform. However, rumors suggest that Lock Upp 2 might transition to television. The first season of Lock Upp premiered in February 2022, with comedian Munawar Faruqui emerging as the winner and actress Payal Rohatgi as the first runner-up.

Lock Upp’s success catapulted Munawar Faruqui into the spotlight, significantly boosting his career. His increased popularity even led to his participation in Bigg Boss 17, where he eventually clinched victory under Salman Khan’s stewardship.
