Dhanashree Verma talked to Humans of Bombay about the bullying she experienced on social media and being called the “ex” of a successful cricket player. She responded by saying that people should understand that women shouldn’t always be labeled. She claimed that although the trolls had an impact on her, in the long run, it makes no difference. “People need to realize,” she was reported as saying. It’s not always possible to categorize women. People continue to comment even if they have no idea what really transpired. I do get annoyed by social media trolls occasionally. However, it has little long-term effect when considering the wider picture.

Dhanahree Verma also discussed the events of the day of the divorce in the same chat. She revealed that she sobbed in front of everyone. She claimed that despite being psychologically ready for what was about to happen, she was howling in court as she awaited the divorce decision. “Find your own Sugar Daddy” was the message on Yuzvendra Chahal’s t-shirt, which she also mentioned. She retaliated by saying that he didn’t have to wear the t-shirt and that he could have just sent a message on WhatsApp if he wanted to communicate something.
