Shah Rukh Khan, the king of romance, is still deeply infatuated with Gauri, his high school sweetheart. The actor once said that Gauri was the only girl he was in love with, having fallen in love with her when he was just eighteen. It took a long time for the actor to persuade Gauri’s family to approve of their marriage, despite the fact that the couple came from different religious backgrounds.

In accordance with Hindu customs, Gauri and Shah Rukh Khan were married on October 25, 1991, following many ups and downs. Gauri claimed in a 1994 interview with Filmfare that her brother Vikrant is incredibly cold and possessive of his sister. Gauri went on to say that if Vikrant ever caught a glimpse of Shah Rukh staring at him, he would become red and consider murder. Gauri added in the same interview that Shah Rukh Khan was threatened with physical violence by her brother, Vikrant Chibber.

Gauri fell in love with Shah Rukh, a grade 12 student, when she was in grade 9. She stated in the same exchange that Shah Rukh was undoubtedly annoyed by such threats, but he had remained silent because Vikrant was his wife’s brother. In keeping with this, Gauri stated:
