Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile’s Sehaj Rrajput’s recent physical assault scene performance has an Alia Bhatt’s Highway connection; Here’s how

Zee TV’s Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile, featuring Bharat Ahlawwat as Raghav and Aayushi Khurrana as Reet, recently presented one of its most intense and emotionally charged moments. The show depicted a disturbing sequence in which Unnati, played by Sehaj Rrajput, becomes a victim of physical assault. The scene not only marked a turning point in the storyline but also stood out for its raw and sensitive portrayal.

In the episode, Unnati is attacked by a scammer who has been stalking her, during what should have been a normal party setting. The aftermath of the incident focuses on Unnati’s emotional trauma, showing how deeply the experience affects her. For Sehaj, the sequence proved to be personally demanding as well, as it was the first time she portrayed such an intense situation on screen. While she approached the scene with mental preparation, the emotional weight of enacting a physical assault was challenging.

Opening up about her experience, Sehaj shared that the scene required a lot of physical movement, including confronting and pushing the attacker. She credited the director for creating a safe and supportive environment on set, which helped her ease into the performance. According to her, once the camera started rolling, she immersed herself completely in the moment. Although the scene left her emotionally drained, she believes such moments define the true essence of acting, where an artist fully lives the emotions of the character.

Sehaj also revealed that she drew inspiration from Alia Bhatt’s powerful performance in Highway, particularly the scene where Alia’s character opens up about years of abuse. Sehaj mentioned that she had performed that scene during her acting classes, which helped her tap into similar emotions for Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile. However, she added that despite preparation, thinking about such situations in real life remains deeply unsettling.

In the upcoming episodes, viewers will see Unnati grappling with panic attacks and emotional vulnerability as memories of the assault resurface. The story will further focus on how Reet and Raghav support her during this difficult phase and help her navigate the path toward healing.
