Renowned comedian and actor Johnny Lever is well-known for his popular roles in Hindi films. His daughter Jamie Lever, on the other hand, had her share of difficulties and uncertainties but managed to establish her own identity despite early setbacks. In spite of this, Jamie forged her own path and proved her value to everyone. She recently discussed being judged and criticized for her appearance.

During her recent appearance on Chhavi Mittal’s podcast, Jamie Lever was asked about her confidence and the impact of dealing with criticism and harsh comments from others over the year. Jamie revealed that she experienced a lot of it. She disclosed that she was frequently warned as a child that her nose was excessively large. She was shooting a photo session one day when a cosmetics artist made a cruel comment. Jamie recalled it as follows: “One day I was doing a photoshoot and makeup artist said iska cutting karna padega naak bahut bada hai. It breaks you. It’s like you are never going to be good enough.”

In addition, Jamie disclosed that she struggled with weight loss as a child and was fat. She revealed that it wasn’t simple because she battled with her weight, had PCOS, and had experienced everything. Jamie revealed that she always covered her lower body since she was also advised that having large hips was bad. She said:”I was always told big hips are an embarrassment, and you have to cover them up. So, growing up years I have always covered my lower body with longer t-shirts and kurtis. I always had a wardrobe like that. It had taken me a lot of years to realise that this is beautiful. You know my curves are beautiful, and people aspire to have a body like that. And also I would give some credits to Kardashians, who made the booty really famous. So after that people are like wow actually curves look beautiful. So, it’s taken a lot of time to be comfortable in my skin.”

Johnny Lever:

Jamie previously stated in an interview with ETimes that she found it hard to succeed and that her father was aware that she would be harshly criticized since she was Johnny Lever’s daughter. He therefore warned her that she would cry before leaving. Jamie was cited as saying: “He (Johnny Lever) was really tough on me because he knew, it’s difficult here and he’s seen the struggle himself. He felt that people will criticise and judge me, they will be hard on me because I am Johnny Lever’s daughter, who’s done 300-400 movies. He very well knew people will be hard on me, so he would say, ‘tu bahar jaane se pehle yahan ro le taaki bahar rona na pade’.
