Actor Sonakshi Sinha brother, director Kussh Sinha, seemed to imply that “Saiyaara” might be imitated. He discussed the difficulties his movie “Nikita Roy” encountered at the box office in an interview. His picture, which debuted on July 18 together with “Tanvi The Great” and “Saiyaara,” faltered in comparison to the latter’s surprising success.

Speaking to Dainik Bhaskar, the director emphasized that “Nikita Roy” had a unique plot, although he did not directly accuse anyone.

Sinha stated, “The best thing is that ‘Nikita Roy’ is a completely original story – we haven’t borrowed from anyone.” In reference to the plagiarism controversy surrounding Mohit Suri’s film “Saiyaara,” he stated, “There have been discussions, but it’s not for me to speak. It is their duty to provide clarification if necessary.

The challenges ‘Nikita Roy’ had in obtaining theater screens were also brought to light by Sinha. “We tried to secure more screens for the film, but sometimes a wave comes along and sweeps everything away,” he said.

He claimed that whereas “Tanvi The Great” was removed from numerous screens, “Nikita Roy” is still showing in theaters because of the favorable reviews it received from exhibitors. Anupam Kher, who also starred in the movie, directed and produced “Tanvi The Great.”

Sinha commended the ‘Saiyaara’ crew for their success in spite of these obstacles. Nobody could have foreseen a wave this powerful. That a romance movie starring two up-and-coming actors has done so well makes me delighted. “I congratulate YRF and give them a lot of credit,” he said.
