According to a report by the Hindustan Times, Deepika experienced eye irritation on set, which was noticed by her co-star who observed a red blood clot in her right eye. She quickly sought medical attention and was prescribed medication, including ointments and eye drops. The doctor diagnosed an injury in her eye and advised that it would take five days to heal, recommending her to avoid eye strain and the use of glycerine or other eye products.

Despite the medical advice, Deepika finds it challenging due to the nature of her role. She has numerous crying scenes, and as an actor, her eyes are crucial for conveying emotions. To cope with the situation, most of her shots are being taken from her left profile to minimize the visibility of the clot. This adjustment has impacted the shooting schedule, but the production continues to move forward. Deepika shared that in her extensive career, this is the first time she has encountered such an issue, attributing her condition to the intense heat.

To manage her health, Deepika is maintaining a liquid diet, consuming coconut water, buttermilk, and electrolytes, while avoiding tea. She also keeps her eyes closed whenever she is not in front of the camera to minimize strain. Despite her discomfort, she cannot afford to take a break as the show is currently filming a crucial wedding sequence, and her presence is essential in most scenes.
