Mouni Roy Speaks Out About Harassment at Haryana Event, Calls for Accountability…

Actress Mouni Roy recently opened up about a deeply disturbing experience she faced at a public event in Karnal, Haryana, on January 23, 2026. She shared the incident through her Instagram Stories, drawing attention to the uncomfortable and upsetting moments she endured during the event.

Mouni revealed that the harassment began even before she stepped on stage. As she walked through the crowd, some men tried to touch her under the excuse of taking pictures. She said a few of them, including older attendees, placed their hands on her waist. When she politely asked them to remove their hands, the reaction she received was aggressive rather than apologetic.

Things did not improve once she reached the stage. The actress stated that two men sitting in the front row continued to behave inappropriately, passing obscene gestures, making lewd comments, and calling her names during the event. Despite her repeated signals asking them to stop, their behavior reportedly continued, with roses even being thrown toward the stage.

What troubled Mouni the most was the lack of support at the venue. She mentioned that neither the event organizers nor the people present stepped in to control the situation. The incident left her feeling humiliated, disturbed, and emotionally shaken.

Through her post, Mouni also raised a larger concern about the safety of women in public spaces, especially younger artists who may not have the confidence or platform to speak up. She questioned the mindset behind such behavior and stressed the urgent need for accountability.

The actress urged authorities and event organizers to take firm action and ensure that such incidents are not ignored or normalized. Her statement has received widespread support, with fans and fellow artists calling for better safety measures and stricter crowd management at public events.
