Munawar Faruqui is a comedian and influencer, but his personal life and scandals have garnered more attention than his work. The Bigg Boss 16 winner has a devoted following that loves him for his witty banter and straightforward demeanor, yet he is frequently attacked by trolls. Known for his turbulent romantic life, the celebrity shocked his followers by getting married to makeup artist and wife Mehzabeen Coatwala without giving them any advance notice. However, they have not disclosed much about their personal life and hardly ever reveal any information about them. Munawar Faruqui explained the rationale for this in a recent interview.
Whether they keep it secret or public, most celebrities would rather get married in a lavish fashion. However, Munawar, a well-known influencer and comedian, married Mehzabeen Coatwala in a modest, unexpected ceremony. In a recent interview with Sana Khan and Mufti Anas, he discussed the importance of not accepting dowries or spending excessive sums of money on weddings, as he did when it was his turn. Remembering the same, he remarked: “Dahej mat dijiye, don’t overspend on weddings. I come across where people say that they need money for their child’s wedding. I got married but kept it intimate. Mujhe ab dar lagta hai, agar kisi ki nazar lag gaye toh. Hum dono ko kisika nazar lag gaye toh. Mereko nazar se jitna darr lagta hain, utna maut se nahi hain. Aab aisa hi ho gaya hain.”
The comedian said that families are now burdened needlessly by the habit of costly weddings and dowries. It ought to be halted. Anas, Sana’s husband, disclosed that Munawar also provides for his village’s residents by setting aside a specific amount of money for them. He added that Mehzabeen Coatwala has given his life the much-needed steadiness it needs. In his own words: “This time, the atmosphere at home is different. I am very happy. Last Ramadan, I remember being exhausted, praying that I just want to settle down. I was tired of feeling lost. I wanted stability, and destiny gave me exactly what I needed. I am so blessed. I never imagined I would find a partner like this. My family is complete-she is like the perfect puzzle piece that was missing.
