In the midst of the recent controversy surrounding his film Sardaar Ji 3, veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah has showed no hesitation in offering his support to well-known actor Diljit Dosanjh. For those who are unaware, the well-known Punjabi musician and actor has been under fire for appearing on screen alongside Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3. Today, renowned actor Naseeruddin Shah took to his Facebook page to declare his unwavering support for Diljit and to inform his followers that the director, not the actor, was in charge of the movie’s casting. The fact that Diljit is well-known throughout the world and that he accepted the cast of the movie because “his mind is not poisoned” was another point Naseeruddin emphasized.

“The Jumla Party’s dirty tricks department has been waiting for an opportunity to assault him. Finally, they believe they have it,” Naseeruddin continued.

“Personal interaction between the people of India and Pakistan” was the only thing the “goons” wanted to stop, according to Naseeruddin. No one can prohibit him from meeting his close friends and family in Pakistan or “sending them love whenever I feel like it,” the seasoned actor acknowledged. And “GO TO KAILASA” is my answer to everybody who says, “Go to Pakistan.”

Following the publication of the Sardaar Ji 3 trailer, which included Hania Aamir alongside Diljit, the controversy surrounding the film intensified. Pakistani actors were prohibited in India after the horrific terrorist incident in Pahalgam on April 22 and the worsening India-Pakistan ties. The filmmakers have emphasized that Sardaar Ji 3 had completed production before the Pahalgam incident, despite FWICE’s calls for a ban on the movie.
