On March 25, 2025, Dabboo Ratnani posted the photos he took of the seasoned actress to his Instagram account. The actress’s stunning outfit made us think of her 1981 musical drama Umrao Jaan, and we must say that she still looked just as stunning and lively as she did when the movie came out forty-four years ago.
For the photo session, Rekha wore a traditional hot pink anarkali costume that she got from Manish Malhotra’s collection. Her royal appearance was enhanced by the vivid pink hue embellished with elaborate gold embroidery and zari work. The anarkali’s billowing skirt was embellished with paisley and floral patterns. Stars were added to the outfit by the extensive stitching at the anarkali’s hem. The kurta’s blouse had embroidered elbow-length sleeves and brocade patterns with golden accents. The actress accessorized the anarkali with a golden-decorated churidar pajama. Her head was elegantly covered with a dupatta that displayed zari and gold embroidery.
Rekha chose ornate traditional jewelry for her accessories. She wore a gorgeous multi-layered necklace that was embellished with pearls, emerald-stone beads, and kundan. She wore a matching matha patti and a kundan maang teeka, which sat on her forehead in style. She wears traditional layered jumkas tied to her hair with a tiny nath and a stylish chain. Haath Phool added stars to her ensemble, and she accessorized it with stacks of pink, green, and gold bangles.
