On the shoot of his next movie, King, Shah Rukh Khan sustained a back ailment. The actor, who recently starred in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, was reportedly filming in Mumbai at the time of the incident while collaborating with filmmaker Siddharth Anand on his upcoming project.
India Today claims that the actor went to the United States to receive medical care. He is currently recuperating in the United Kingdom. Along with him is his family. The publication was informed by a source that the actor is doing well and that the damage is minimal. The action thriller’s filming has been put on hold for the time being, though, and will go back up in September. Additionally, SRK’s scheduled vacation to Sri Lanka has been postponed due to the injury.
The actor has had a back injury for the second time. In the past, Boney Kapoor suffered a back injury while filming Shakti in 2002. He underwent surgery in a UK facility at the time. He was found to have a prolapsed disk. In the end, he decided to have a disc placed in his spine through an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion procedure. He then attempted to hit Ashutosh Gowariker’s Swades.
His co-star Daya Shankar Panday told Friday Talkies, “This was the same time when Shah Rukh Khan was suffering from severe back pain,” recalling an incident from the set where he fell him from his bike. He had a physio on set because of this.
The actor previously suffered a serious injury while filming Darr, starring Yash Chopra. He suffered fractures to his left knee and three ribs. Additionally, he had sustained an injury while filming Koyla, directed by Rakesh Roshan. While filming the 2011 movie Ra-One, the knee injury got worse. To relieve the discomfort, he had to get surgery.
He had a left shoulder injury in 2007 while filming an action sequence in Dulha Mil Gaya. He had another injury to the same shoulder while filming My Name Is Khan, directed by Karan Johar, in 2008.
