Just a few hours ago, Director Kut Productions, led by Rajan Shahi, made a shocking announcement, ousting two lead cast members, Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe, from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The sudden news has left fans of the show in disbelief, sparking discussions across social media platforms.
Shehzada and Pratiksha portrayed pivotal roles as Armaan Poddar and Ruhi Poddar respectively in the popular TV series, alongside co-stars like Samridhii Shukla and Anita Raj. Following their abrupt exit, Shivam Khajuria, who plays Rohit Poddar, shared his reaction to Pratiksha’s replacement by a new actress.
Garvita Sadhwani, known for her role in Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si, has been chosen to fill the shoes of Ruhi Poddar. Fans have already caught glimpses of Garvita in character, with some extending warm welcomes to her. Collages featuring Shivam as Rohit and Garvita as Ruhi have been circulating on social media, with both actors acknowledging and sharing the fan-made content.
According to the official statement by DKP, Shehzada’s on-set behavior, marked by demands and tantrums, had become increasingly intolerable for the production team. Meanwhile, Pratiksha’s performance fell short of expectations, leading to her departure from the show.
Reports suggest that Shehzada contentious behavior began from the outset of the shoot, causing disruptions on set, particularly during the show’s filming in Mahabaleshwar. Ultimately, both actors were reportedly asked to leave the set in front of the entire crew.
