Attending the star-studded Pinkvilla Screen & Style Icons Awards 2025 occupied a significant portion of B-town. Several celebrities from the business, including Shahid Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Sushmita Sen, and Akshay Kumar, attended the award presentation. The occasion was also attended by Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, and her son, Yashvardhan Ahuja. However, Sunita’s surprising response when asked about Govinda’s absence caught our notice.

Sunita Ahuja attended the Pinkvilla Screen & Style Icons Awards 2025 on March 27, 2025. The diva showed up for the occasion with their son, Yashvardhan Ahuja, instead of Govinda. Wearing a peach-toned, sequined co-ord outfit with pink floral embellishments on top, Sunita looked stunning as she walked the red carpet. She accessorized her ensemble with sleek hanging earrings, relaxed hair, and stunning makeup. Yashvardhan, on the other hand, looked sharp with a cream-colored blazer, matching pants, brown sunglasses, and a black shirt.

“Govinda sir kahan hai?” was the inquisitive question that arose from the audience as the photographers avidly photographed the mother-son pair. But Sunita’s reaction was, to put it mildly, somewhat surprising. With a dramatic and apparently irritated “What?!” Sunita replied in her trademark wit, and then her contagious laughter immediately brightened the room.

If that wasn’t enough, Sunita made a joke that made everyone laugh: “Last but not the least,” in response to a rumor that Govinda may make a spectacular late appearance. Her parting remarks, however, were what really warmed people’s hearts. A photographer said that the Jodi No. 1 actor was missed by the paparazzi as she got ready to walk on. Without missing a beat, Sunita grinned and said: “Humlog bhi kar rahe hain.”

Because Govinda and Sunita Ahuja were allegedly living apart, there was a lot of conjecture in Bollywood for months that they were getting a divorce. Sunita, however, recently denied these rumors, stating that their choice was unrelated to marital problems. She clarified that numerous party visits made privacy challenging when Govinda entered politics and their daughter Tina was growing up. They have established a separate workplace close by and feel more comfortable at home now that Tina is older. Declaring that no one could stand between her and Govinda, Sunita firmly put an end to the rumors. She was heard uttering:

“Alag-alag rehne ka matlab yeh hai ki jab unhone politics join ki thi, tab hamari beti badi ho rahi thi, aur uss samay kai karyakarta ghar par aate the. Ab jab beti jawan ho gayi hai, hum ghar mein aaram se shorts pehen kar ghoomte hain, isliye humne samne hi ek office le liya tha. Agar iss duniya mein koi mai ka laal mujhe aur Govinda ko alag kar sakta hai, toh samne aakar dikhaye.”
