Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar, a well-known couple on YouTube and television, are going through a challenging time because of a medical emergency. Shoaib talked candidly about his wife Dipika’s health issue in a poignant video, stating that the Sasural Simar Ka actress has been diagnosed with a huge liver tumor. The pair is getting ready for surgery and holding out hope while the nature of the tumor is still being investigated.

Because of their frequent social media activity, Dipika and Shoaib frequently provide their fans an honest glimpse into their daily life. A very nervous and disheveled Shoaib revealed the devastating news that Dipika has been diagnosed with a tumor in his most recent YouTube video. He disclosed that while he was abroad, Dipika started to get stomach pains, which she self-medicated by writing off as acidity. However, when the problem continued, she sought additional assessment from their trusted family physician.

He stated, “Dipika theek nahi hai, thoda sa usko stomach mein issue hai, jo serious hai. When I was in Chandigarh, Dipika started having pain in her stomach, and initially, we thought it was due to acidity, and she treated it, thinking it was an acidity-related issue. But when the pain did not go away, we consulted our family doctor… He gave her some antibiotics and asked her to get blood tests done… When I returned, she was doing fine.”

Dipika was asked to have blood tests done and was given antibiotic prescriptions. After a short period of relief, the symptoms reappeared soon after her father-in-law’s birthday, and tests indicated an underlying infection. After additional medical scans, the startling discovery was found. Following a CT scan, they discovered a sizable tumor—nearly the size of a tennis ball—in her liver’s left lobe.

The actor said, “After Papa’s birthday, she once again started experiencing pain, and meanwhile, the blood test reports came, which indicated that she had an infection in her body. Our doctor asked us to visit again, and when we met him, he asked us to do a CT scan, and it showed that Dipika has a tumour in the left lobe of her liver. It is bigger in size, like a tennis ball. It was very shocking for us.”

The couple had some more tests done after learning about the tumor because they were worried that it might be cancer. Although preliminary findings have not yet indicated any cancer, they are still awaiting confirmation from a few important studies.

After being brought to Advanced Hospital, Dipika had a number of tests performed to identify the type of tumor. Shoaib recently brought her home because he thought a calm, comfortable environment would help her heal. He disclosed in his vlog that although they have an appointment with a liver expert at Kokilaben Hospital to talk about the next course of action, surgery is now inevitable.
