Birthdays usually bring to mind grand parties, fancy cakes, and never-ending guest lists. But for Manraj Singh Sharma, who’ll soon be seen as Harshvardhan in Zee TV’s Tumm Se Tumm Tak, this year is about something much simpler—and far more meaningful.
Instead of the spotlight, he’s choosing quiet time with family, heartfelt conversations, and a break from the city’s chaos. And honestly, isn’t that the kind of celebration we all crave sometimes?
Manraj’s Birthday Plans: Less Noise, More Joy
Talking about his plans,Manraj Singh shared,
This year, I’m keeping it really low-key. I’m stepping out of Mumbai with my family and spending quality time with them. With time, you realise birthdays are not about throwing the biggest bash but about spending moments with the people who truly matter.
It’s a refreshing thought in an age where celebrations often become about impressing others rather than truly enjoying the day.
From Big Bashes to Quiet Reflection
Interestingly, Manraj wasn’t always this way. Like most of us in our 20s, his earlier birthdays were packed with big parties, endless guest lists, and loud celebrations.
I used to throw huge parties and invite lots of people. But over the years, I realised that when you’re the host, the day flies by without you really enjoying it. Now, I prefer keeping it simple and peaceful.
And he makes a very valid point when he says:
I feel your friends should plan something for your birthday, not you. It’s your day—why should you be the one working so hard for it?
Fair enough, right?
Work + Movies = The Perfect Birthday
Work, however, remains close to Manraj’s heart. He says he enjoys being on set on his birthday because acting fuels his happiness. This year though, with no shoot scheduled, he finally got a chance to plan a family getaway.
And what’s a celebration without a little cinema? A self-confessed movie buff, Manraj revealed his recent movie plans:
Last night I took my friends to watch the F1 movie. Also, the new Superman film releases on my birthday, so watching that with my closest people is definitely happening!
Sounds like the perfect day, doesn’t it?
What’s the Best Birthday Gift for Him?
Forget expensive gadgets or designer clothes—Manraj’s idea of a perfect gift is much more meaningful:
The biggest gift for me is the presence of people who love, respect, and admire you. Real friends who stand by you during tough times—that’s what matters. Emotional support is the true treasure.

And if he had to gift himself something intangible?
It would be more time and freedom to spend with my loved ones. No matter how much time you have, it never feels enough. Also, being in a good mental space—that’s something we tend to overlook but it’s priceless.”
Simple Joys, Meaningful Celebrations
In a world chasing likes and lavishness, Manraj Singh Sharma’s quiet celebration is a gentle reminder—sometimes, all we need is a little peace, some laughter with our people, and a whole lot of love.
Here’s wishing him a year full of everything that truly matters.
