Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe faced the brunt of this decision due to their reported unprofessional behavior on the sets. Shahi and his team revealed that Shehzada was accused of misbehaving with the staff, while Pratiksha’s work ethic was deemed unsatisfactory. Rumors surfaced suggesting a romantic involvement between the two, with allegations of Pratiksha blindly following Shehzada’s lead, even causing delays in shoot schedules. After enduring numerous issues, Shahi took the decisive step to terminate their contracts, reportedly in front of the entire cast and crew.

Following their departure, Rohit Purohit and Garvita Sadhwani stepped in as the replacements for the roles of Armaan and Ruhi/Roohi respectively. In response to the controversy, Pratiksha’s close friend Kunal Mundhe came forward to defend her reputation. Speaking to Etimes, Kunal emphasized Pratiksha’s professionalism on the sets of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, refuting the negative portrayal of her character. He highlighted Pratiksha’s dedication and hard work, underscoring her punctuality and commitment to giving her best despite facing challenges.

Kunal further disclosed that Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was Pratiksha’s debut show, making her journey into the industry even more commendable. Despite the ordeal, Pratiksha remained steadfast in her dedication to her work. When questioned about the specifics of the on-set situation, Kunal refrained from commenting on personal matters but conveyed Pratiksha’s deep disappointment over her sudden departure from the show.

Expressing his observations, Kunal hinted at Pratiksha being influenced by external factors but reiterated her professionalism throughout. Despite the upheaval, Pratiksha’s commitment to her craft remained unwavering, as reflected in her performance on the show.
