Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has become a hot topic lately due to the termination of Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe by Rajan Shahi for their unprofessional conduct. Shehzada portrayed the lead character of Armaan, while Pratiksha played Ruhi/Roohi. The production team issued an official statement citing their termination, mentioning Shehzada’s mistreatment of staff from day one and Pratiksha’s subpar performance. Reports suggested Shehzada’s misconduct began during their shoot in Mahabaleshwar.
Allegedly, Pratiksha, being new to the industry, blindly followed Shehzada and lacked focus, becoming irritable when asked to improve her work. An old statement by Rajan Shahi on unprofessionalism resurfaced, where he emphasized that no actor is above the show. He mentioned his habit of appreciating talent but also stated his intolerance towards misbehaving actors.
Shahi expressed his frustration with actors who, upon achieving success, develop an attitude problem, arriving late on set and causing disruptions. He emphasized the importance of professionalism, asserting that such behavior has no place in Directors Kut Productions.
Despite having high stakes for the show, Shahi stated his willingness to replace lead actors if they fail to uphold professionalism. He highlighted the significance of an actor’s behavior towards the crew, as it directly impacts the production process.
