Rohit Purohit shared that while there isn’t direct pressure from their families, there are certainly expectations. His parents, with his father now retired and his mother being a housewife living in Jaipur, naturally look forward to seeing him start a family. He explained, “It’s more about their hopes and dreams for us. They would love to see us become parents, but it’s not a constant demand.”

At one point, these expectations did begin to feel like pressure for Rohit and Sheena. “We did feel a bit of pressure when their expectations were high,” Rohit admitted. “It can be tough when you know your loved ones are waiting for something significant in your life to happen.”

However, over time, the situation has evolved positively. Rohit mentioned that he and Sheena had open discussions with their families about their personal and professional goals. “We sat down and talked about our priorities and the things we want to achieve before starting a family,” he shared. This conversation helped align everyone’s expectations.

Now, Rohit and Sheena are in a good place where their families understand their perspective. “Our parents have come to understand that there are certain milestones we want to reach first. They’re supportive of our decisions,” Rohit said, emphasizing the importance of having supportive parents who respect their choices.

Despite the initial expectations, Rohit feels relieved that there’s no undue pressure anymore. “We are grateful that our parents respect our wishes and support our journey. They want us to take our time and make decisions that are right for us,” he added.
