About a month ago, Garvita Sadhwani replaced Pratiksha Honmukhe as Ruhi Poddar in the serial Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Rajan Shahi terminated Pratiksha along with Shehzada Dhani, stating that Pratiksha was unable to match her character requirements in terms of performance, leading to the termination of her contract. Initially, some of Pratiksha’s fans refused to accept Garvita as her replacement. However, after a month, Garvita has been accepted with open arms.

Reacting to Garvita’s work in the show, BFF Sayli Salunkhe praised the actress and also shared her thoughts on the replacement saga. Sayli and Garvita previously worked together in the Rajan Shahi show Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si where they played sisters on-screen. Despite the show’s short duration, Sayli and Garvita formed a close bond that they still cherish.

Recalling the time when she learned about Garvita joining Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Sayli mentioned that Garvita couldn’t inform her upfront due to contractual obligations. Sayli came across the news on social media and confirmed it with Garvita later.

Regarding Garvita replacing Pratiksha, Sayli stated that she doesn’t know the entire controversy and refrained from commenting on it. She emphasized that Garvita is focused on her work and isn’t bothered by controversies. Sayli praised Garvita’s portrayal of Ruhi and expressed happiness for her friend.

Sayli also mentioned that despite initial resistance from some fans, the show continues to thrive, underscoring the belief that the show is bigger than its actors. She noted that Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai maintains strong TRP ratings and social media engagement despite cast changes.
