The manner Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma handled the matter made it clear that their divorce wasn’t amicable. The cricketer’s followers have been cruelly trolling Dhanashree, but Yuzvendra’s cryptic posts reveal his emotional side, suggesting that he was deeply hurt. But he is turning his life around, and during the last court appearance, Yuzvendra publicly made fun of his ex-wife, Dhanashree Verma.

For the last hearing of their divorce petition, Yuzvendra Chaha and Dhanashree Verma showed up in the family court on March 20, 2025. However, Yuzvendra’s attire for the day seemed to indicate that he and Dhanashree Verma had a difficult marriage, as he publicly mocked her by donning a t-shirt that read, “Be your own sugar daddy.” In front of the media, he proudly displayed it, seemingly sending a silent message to his ex-wife, Dhanashree Verma.

For those who are unaware, a sugar daddy is an older male who presents a younger woman with expensive items and cash as gifts. In a sense, Yuzvendra gave the trolls his tacit approval when they referred to Dhanashree as a gold digger. Netizens began responding to the images of Yuzvendra taken outside the court as soon as they got public.

One person commented, “It goes hard,” in response to the images. Feminists who support alimony were agitated, yet they showed respect for Chahal. “Absolutely Yuzi bhai.. don’t be a parasite, be your own sugar daddy!” said a second internet user. “Okay, that’s some crazy shirt to wear to your own alimony hearing,” wrote another.

The court’s judgment requests that Yuzvendra Chahal pay Rs. 4.75 crore in final alimony to conclude the divorce. He has reportedly paid Rs 2.37 crore so far, with the remaining amount to be paid following the divorce. We also saw Dhanashree Verma enter the court with a video. She appeared hurried and was clearly agitated by the photographers swarming to take pictures of her. But in the midst of the confusion, a photographer stumbled and screamed.
