During a recent interview with Hauterrfly, Aamir Ali covered a wide range of subjects. The actor talked candidly about a terrible experience that happened to him as a teenager. He remembered that at the age of 14, he experienced sexual harassment. He disclosed that at the time of the occurrence, he was aboard a train.

He went on to say that the event was extremely traumatic, to the point where it changed his travel patterns for good. When asked about his gay pals in the same interview, Aamir Ali admitted that although he had some misgivings at first, he was now fine. He also remembered the incident that happened when he was a little youngster.

Aamir Ali revealed that a terrible tragedy occurred while he was 14 years old. For the first time, he added, people touched him inappropriately while he was riding the train. He said that in order to protect himself, he had begun to carry his bag closer, but one day, his books were taken out of it. At that point, he disclosed, he made the decision to never again take the train.

He said: “When you are young and the first time I travelled in a train…The reason I stopped travelling in trains was because I was being touched. I was 14. Then I started holding my bag closer to my backside, near my bum. Then, one day, someone stole books from my bag, and I was like, ‘Who steals books?’ And I decided I won’t travel in a train.”

Aamir Ali recalled in the same session that he was scarred by the occurrence. But he realized that he couldn’t use the same criteria to evaluate everyone as his pals came out with their sexual orientations. Even though what occurred to him was regrettable, he thought of his pals as his brothers and believed that they were different from them. He went on to say that it would be unjust to criticize the entire world based on one experience because he could sleep next to them in the same bed and feel secure.

He was cited as saying: “Then, I had a couple of friends who came out in the open and said that they have feelings for a man, and I know them so well. They are like my brothers. I can sleep with them on the same bed. When they came out, I felt like just because of a couple of experiences, I couldn’t judge the whole world. When you mature, you understand, your thoughts change.”
