The television series “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” underwent significant changes recently, as announced by Rajan Shahi and his team in an official statement. Weeks ago, the contracts of Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe were terminated, leading to the introduction of Rohit Purohit and Garvita Sadhwani as replacements for the roles of Armaan and Ruhi respectively. The decision was attributed to Pratiksha’s inability to meet the character requirements and Shehzada’s alleged unprofessional behavior.

Actress Niyati Joshi, who portrays Swarna in the show, spoke candidly about the situation in an interview with Telly Masala. While describing Pratiksha as a sweet girl, Niyati acknowledged that Shehzada did exhibit ego and attitude issues on set. Expressing her foresight regarding the terminations, she mentioned her feelings of sympathy towards Pratiksha, contrasting with her observation of Shehzada’s demeanor.

Niyati highlighted Shehzada’s lack of pleasantries towards the cast, indicating his failure to engage in basic social exchanges such as greetings. She expressed uncertainty about the source of his attitude, reflecting on the events and ultimately acknowledging that whatever transpired was perhaps for the best.

In her praise for producer Rajan Shahi, Niyati emphasized his familial treatment of the cast and his commitment to their well-being. She lauded Shahi’s decision-making, noting that such drastic measures were indicative of significant considerations.

Other actors, including Samridhii Shukla and Shruti Ulfat, have also shared their perspectives on the terminations. Samridhii clarified her limited off-screen interactions with Shehzada and Pratiksha, refraining from commenting on the specifics. On the other hand, Shruti detailed the dramatic nature of their departure, recalling how they were asked to leave the show in front of the entire cast and crew.
