Vicky Kaushal explained in an interview with Pinkvilla how he keeps things cool and peaceful in the house. How? Well, by quoting Nana Patekar’s famed dialogue from Welcome: “Control Uday.”

The performer replied: “Main to kayi baar unko bhi bol deta hun, kabhi kabhi kuch hota hai ‘Control Uday, Control’ (Whenever something happens, I sometimes tell her ‘Control Uday, Control’).”

In the film Welcome, Don Uday Shetty (Nana Patekar) mutters this statement to himself when Advocate Harkesh Sahni (Adi Irani) interrupts his discussions with a family regarding his sister Sanjana’s (Katrina Kaif) marriage.

Do you know that Vicky Kaushal is a fan of Katrina Kaif’s 2008 film Singh Is Kinng? The actor said he “really enjoyed” the 2008 action comedy. “I think that was one of the most brilliant, entertaining films,” Vicky told me.

Singh Is Kinng also starred Akshay Kumar in the lead.

In another portion, Vicky Kaushal described his first encounter with Katrina Kaif. The actor remembered that it was at an awards ceremony.

He explained, “So, I was hosting, and I believe this was the first time I had met and engaged with her. On stage, we have the gear in our ears through which we’re constantly being told from behind—like, ‘Do this… do that…’ It continues to guide you, and everything is programmed. However, behind the stage, we were properly presented for the first time. Yeah. So, who knew they’d get married?
