The country was rocked by the Pahalgam Terror Attack. Pakistani artists were negatively impacted by the incident as well. A widespread ban on Pakistani artists performing in India was demanded by many. Many Pakistani artists’ social media profiles were subsequently restricted in India. Hania Aamir account was one of them. The actress from Pakistan was one of the first people from the other side of the border to denounce the heinous incident. Although she has a sizable fan base in India, her account is now listed as unavailable there. A contentious statement that was ascribed to her during this time went viral on social media. According to the statement, the prime minister was asked not to penalize the “ordinary Pakistanis.” The actress has now spoken up about it.
Hania Aamir stated on social media that the message that was attributed to her is not authentic. She hasn’t said anything like that. She allegedly stated in a note that she does not agree with or support the statements being made to her. It is ‘manufactured’ and’misrepresents’ who she is, she revealed.
She added that it is a very delicate and emotional moment, and it is simple to allow feelings to impair judgment. She went on to say that an extremist’s behavior does not speak for a country. It’s tempting to let feelings influence our decisions during difficult times, but we must keep in mind that the acts of extremists do not speak for a whole country or its citizens, the author stated. Blaming without evidence only serves to widen gaps and divert attention from the true need for justice, compassion, and healing.
Hania Aamir also asked her followers to verify the information before spreading it. She also urged everyone to face the challenging times with clarity and love. She wished for peace and offered her sympathies to those who lost loved ones in the tragedy.
