Preity Zinta is occupied with leading the Punjab Kings, her IPL team. Preity also had to deal with gender bias in the corporate sector, which is typically seen as a male domain, like many other women do. Sometimes by negligent netizens, and other times within the system. Preity Zinta demonstrated that not everything is a comedy by criticizing a casual comment made by a netizen about her and her teammates.
During her ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on X, Preity Zinta recently blasted a social media fan for asking her a cruel question. Glenn Maxwell wasn’t performing well, according to the troll, because he hadn’t married her. It was quite offensive to Preity. Preity chose to call it out rather than dismiss it as just another trolling comment. It was incredibly insulting and sexist, she said. In response, Preity inquired as to whether the same question would be posed to a male team owner. The actress claimed that after playing cricket, she became aware of the challenges faced by women.
She wrote, “Would you ask this question to a male team owner? I never realised how tough it is for women in the corporate world until I entered cricket. Please think about what you’re implying—it’s not funny.”
She further added, “I’m sure you asked this question out of humour, but I hope you can actually look at your question and understand what you are trying to say because if you really understand what you’re trying to say, it’s not pretty ! I think I have earned my stripes by working very hard for the past 18 years so please give me the respect I deserve & stop with the gender bias. Thank you.”
For those unaware, Glenn Maxwell only got 48 runs in seven games in IPL season, indicating that his performance was below par. His performance received harsh criticism, and his form was blamed for the remark. But by crudely dragging Preity’s name, the individual went too far in the trolling game.
