After being stressed by lawsuits, Blake Lively and Taylor Swift are said to have been able to resume their long-standing friendship. A string of legal issues involving Lively and Justin Baldoni have unavoidably brought the pop sensation into the fray.

Swift was “really hurt” to be linked to Lively’s legal issue, according to People. Lively and Baldoni exchanged text conversations as part of the case. In these texts, Lively made fun, exaggerated comments about Reynolds and Swift while joking about the power she and her fans possessed.

According to people close to the celebrities, Lively remained hopeful that her friendship with Swift would endure despite the legal upheaval. Swift is pleased that the friendship has been restored and that the experience is behind her, even if she was first offended by being included in the debate.

“Blake knew she and Taylor would come back from this at some point and that their friendship wasn’t done for good,” a source told the newspaper.

Livley allegedly called the music sensation one of her “dragons” in a text message to Baldoni. Swift was accused by Baldoni of forcing him to agree to changes made to the film It Ends With Us.

According to reports, the tension escalated during a meeting at Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ penthouse in New York, where Swift supported Lively’s narrative. According to Baldoni, the action was meant to pressure him to support Lively’s idea for the movie.

“Taylor was really hurt by this situation, so she’s relieved they were able to recover from this and put it all behind them because it wasn’t something she took lightly,” the source added.

Taylor Swift:

In December 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni for harassment and retaliation, intensifying the court battle. The latter refuted claims and filed a countersuit against Lively, Reynolds, and their public relations team in January 2025 on extortion and defamation grounds. Swift is said to have been involved in backstage discussions about writing and to have had the song “My Tears Ricochet” featured in both the movie and its trailer.
