Actor Ajaz Khan has been charged with rape by Charkop Police after a lady filed a complaint alleging that he had sexually assaulted her while falsely promising her a marriage and movie roles.
In order to win the actress’ trust, Khan allegedly assured her of marriage and promised her a part in his OTT series “House Arrest” and other projects, according to an IANS report. The woman claims that Khan constantly promised to marry her and accept responsibility after raping her at his house on March 25, 2025, and then assaulting her again a few days later. She added that Khan used the fact that his faith allows for four marriages as an excuse for his behavior.
The police are currently looking into the complaint, which has been reported under numerous provisions of the recently passed Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including 64, 64(2)(M), 69, and 74. As the investigation progresses, both parties are making statements and gathering evidence.
This is not the first recent controversy involving Ajaz Khan. The show ‘House Arrest’ was accused of transmitting pornographic material and indecently portraying women in a previous complaint filed by Bajrang Dal activist Gautam Ravriya. A video recording of Ajaz Khan pressing competitors, including women, to engage in intimate acts and display sexual postures on camera went viral, sparking worldwide outrage and igniting the debate.
Khan, producer Rajkumar Pandey, and other participants were arrested by Mumbai Police in accordance with Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, which makes it illegal to publish or transmit pornographic content electronically. Repeat offenses carry higher penalties, with a first conviction under this clause carrying a maximum sentence of three years in prison and a fine of Rs 5 lakh.

The actor is a TV personality, but he has also acted in a few movies, including “Rakta Charitra,” “Allah Ke Banday,” “Dookudu,” “Naayak,” and others. Additionally, he is anticipated to play an anti-hero in the Gujarati film Angaar (2025), marking his cinematic debut. ‘Bombay Bonds’ is a Hindi web series that he is also directing.
