Renowned Bollywood figures Juhi Chawla and Shah Rukh Khan share a close camaraderie, often seen supporting each other through thick and thin. Their joint ownership of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) further solidifies their bond, frequently spotted cheering for KKR during matches. However, despite their shared enthusiasm for the sport, Chawla recently disclosed why she prefers not to watch matches with her longtime friend.
In an interview with IANS, Chawla revealed that watching IPL matches with Khan can be a bit challenging, as he tends to express his frustration when the team isn’t performing well, occasionally directing it towards her. She humorously mentioned that she advises him to address his grievances with the team rather than her. This sentiment resonates with many team owners who experience similar emotions during matches, she added.
Acknowledging their enduring friendship, Chawla reminisced about a time when she stood by Khan’s family during challenging moments, such as when Aryan Khan faced legal issues. Reflecting on her decision to offer support, she emphasized the importance of being there for loved ones when they need it most.
Despite their busy schedules, Chawla and Khan maintain regular communication, with her husband Jay Mehta also staying in touch with the superstar. While opportunities to meet in person may be rare, their bond remains strong, cemented by mutual respect and support throughout the years.
