Prakash Raj is a well-known actor who has never held back from sharing his political views. The Wanted actor recently discussed his opinions on Bollywood’s decision to remain silent on political matters in an interview. Many are scared, but ‘half of them are sold’, he said, while the other half are scared.

Prakash stressed in a Lallantop interview that any regime will want to stifle debate. Filmmakers should, meanwhile, keep producing significant works and possess the fortitude to advocate for their films’ distribution.

“Any strong administration will put an end to talks. Second, it ought to exist within the artists themselves. They must to be aware of the type of movies they produce and be prepared to fight for the movie’s distribution. We need that resilience,” Prakash stated.

“Half of them are sold, my own colleagues, and half of them are afraid because they don’t have the strength,” the National Award-winning actor said bluntly about his coworkers. “You have the strength, you can speak up, I can’t,” my close friend once said to me. “Prakash aap mein dum hai, aap bol sete hai, mein nahi bol pata.” When history is written, it will pardon those who committed crimes but not those who remained silent, so I told him that while I understood, I couldn’t exonerate him. “Everyone bears responsibility,” Prakash declared.

Prakash was also questioned about his activism’s impact on his lack of positions in the industry.

Prakash Raj:

“All they’re concerned about is not getting what they want if they collaborate with us on a movie. This is therefore a necessary component of it. That’s the situation here. It gives me more strength to declare that this is wrong, thus we will need to stand up and speak up.
